E.P. Carrillo La Historia is a deeply personal and award-winning blend that pays tribute to the Perez-Carrillo family legacy. Crafted at Casa Carrillo in the Dominican Republic, this box-pressed cigar features a dark Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper, an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and a rich mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers.
From the first draw, La Historia delivers a full-flavored experience with notes of roasted nuts, espresso, black pepper, and dark chocolate. A subtle sweetness lingers on the finish, creating a harmonious balance that’s both bold and elegant. The ornate band artwork honors Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s mother and daughter, symbolizing the journey from Cuba to Miami and the enduring spirit of family and craftsmanship.
La Historia has earned critical acclaim, including:
- #2 Cigar of the Year (2014) by Cigar Aficionado
- 95-point rating for its dense smoke and complex flavor profile
Available in:
- El Senador (5 3/8 x 52)
- Doña Elena (6 1/8 x 50)
- E-III (6 7/8 x 54)
- Regalias D’ Celia (5 7/8 x 58)
